Big Tie Versus Best Team In The League
Submitted By mbroderick on Sunday, March 6, 2016
On a rescheduled Wednesday night, the novice team played their last playoff game of the season against the best team in the league from Midland.

Midland 1 had an outstanding season, winning all 20 games in the regular season, had won all five of their playoff games and previously beat the Dundalk Novices three times by convincing margins.
However, the Dundalk Novices shocked the Midland team early in the game scoring two quick goals.  In fact, for the duration of the game, Dundalk had Midland on the run and if not for seven huge saves on breakaways, Dundalk would have run away with this game.  With exceptional passing, extremely hard work and the best positional game of the year, the novices got a lead and then held on for the tie against an extremely talented Midland team.
Most important, this game highlighted the massive improvement in a team with so many first year players.  The team continues to amaze the coaching staff with their dedication, work ethic and team first attitude.  Great job in this game team.
