Dundalk Tyke Blue Keeps on Rolling
Submitted By mbroderick on Sunday, December 30, 2012
Dundalk Tyke Blue continues to be a force in the league this year with another victory over a very strong Georgian Shores team.  Coming in on Saturday from Thornbury, Georgian Shores knew that they were in tough as Tyke Blue won the first meeting.

Tyke Blue was ready for the strong skating and puckhandling of the Georgian Shores team with its continued strong defensive play.  Aidan B, Quentin W and Brody V manned the blueline and once again proved to be too much to handle as any opportunity to mount an offense was turned away very quickly.  Moving the puck quickly helped the offense move into Georgian Shores zone with regularity.  Top scorer, Aiden M put two home and Brody added the third goal with a strong rush.  In a tight 3-2 win, it truly takes a team effort as all players worked hard, moved their feet, worked together to a common goal.  Keegan in the net showed some tremendous promise and was the Dundalk player of the game.  His stops earlier in the game were important to keep the lead but he made his presence felt with a huge pad save with 25 seconds left in the game.  Tyke Blue plays their next game on January 7th against once of the best teams in the league, Dundalk Tyke White.
